Hr NETWORK is delighted to announce details of its Annual Golf day which has been launched recently as part of the magazine’s 5th birthday celebrations taking place throughout the year. The event which is open to businesses across Scotland and which features teams of 4 for golf, networking and dinner will be held on Wednesday 26th May 2010 at the impressive Kings Acre Golf Course in Lasswade, just outside Edinburgh.
The cost for entering a team of 4 and booked prior to 28th February 2010 is £395 and booked after this date will be £450.
The golf day package includes:
- Tea/Coffee & Bacon Rolls on arrival
- Warm up balls at the Academy & Driving Range
- 18 holes of golf
- 3 Course meal
- Drinks during the meal
- Networking Opportunities
- 2 nearest the pin holes
- 2 longest drive holes
- Charity Raffle Prizes
There is the additional option for an organisation to sponsor a hole which will include corporate branding at the chosen hole with thanks from the organisers and with the opportunity to provide a corporate gift to all the players if preferred. Additional cost is £200.
Please note that there is a maximum number of teams available for this event and therefore bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis.

Event Profile Since they were inaugurated in 1992, these coveted Awards have become widely acknowledged as ‘Scotland’s Business Oscars’. They recognise exceptional individual achievement by those at the helm of Scotland’s major companies and public services.

Deals & Dealmakers Awards Ceremony & Dinner Hilton Hotel Glasgow
Launched in 1998, the Scottish Business Insider Deals & Dealmakers Awards were created to recognise and reward the valuable corporate finance expertise which exists in Scotland and the significant contribution it makes to this country’s economy.
The Awards recognise exceptional achievement by Scottish companies and individuals who lead Scotland’s corporate finance market place, based on deals completed in the previous year. Eleven award categories have been created to reflect these activities, both by companies who initiate the deals and also the dealmakers who carry them through.
The awards are presented at a quality dinner by not only the companies involved in the deals but also by the key players in the Scottish Corporate Finance market, comprising lawyers, accountants, bankers and corporate financiers, making up an audience of 700 guests. In previous years the dinner has been staged at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow and the Edinburgh Corn Exchange. In 2009 the event will return to the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow on Wednesday 2nd September.
The awards ceremony has previously been controlled and hosted by Lucy Alexander, Jackie Bird, Kaye Adams, Sally Magnusson and Stephen Jardine, with speeches presented by Greg Dyke, Sir Jackie Stewart, Alistair McGowan, John Seargent, Simon Woodroffe and one of Britain’s most successful and inspiring businesswomen, Jacqueline Gold.
